Below are Photos of Yamon (Yammie to his friends)
Yammie was the Amsterdam Escape office dog. We got him from the dog pound in 2002 aged 10 years.
He was a very special dog and many guests will have fond memories of him and a few bites to boot.
We have many stories to tell about him and many photos also which we intend adding to this page as soon as we can.
We invite our guests to send us any photos they have of him so we can add them also.
Video streams /clips are also welcome
Yamon sweetie we really miss you.
Story 1.
Only a few weeks before he got sick. he was eating his lunch when the guests arrived from Chillout to check out, Brendan, Dee, Me & Giuseppe went to say good bye to them. They said "Where is Yammie, we want to say goodbye to him".
(Yammie always sat on either the Chillout door step or the door to Pad, Haven and View.
I called Yammie, he looked around but went back to his lunch, I called him a few more times again he looked around at me saying Can't you see I am eating. Finally I annoyed him so much he walked down the office and out on to the steps, barked 4 times (one for each guest) then turned around and went back to his food. Only I had seen it with my own eyes I would not believe it. The guests were amazed as we all were.

Story 2.
We were playing throw the stick one day in a small garden area. The stick ended up caught in a tree branch. Yamon walked around and around looking up at the tree and would not give up until I went and found him another stick.
A few days later we were again in the same garden playing throw the stick and when the stick ended up near the same tree, Yamon dropped his stick he had in his mouth and started walking around the same tree looking up again.
He remembered the previous stick.
Story 3.
Eating Tablets. Getting him to eat tablets was a total nightmare. he would eat the entire bowl of food (remember he cannot see what he is eating once head is in bowl) and then walk away leaving the tablet lying in the bottom.
We tried powder form and tablet form but hated both.
He was antibiotics once but again refused to eat them, I got so sick of him one day I went out to him on the step where he was sitting and said to him. Yamon you have got to eat this tablet and explained to him the facts about eating all the course of antibiotics and such like, he then just took it off my hand and swallowed it.
