Today in Amsterdam. Well to start the weather was not so best but then again it could have been worse so we thank Dog for the lovely weather and pray that he can stick a finger in the dyke when the time comes.
In other news just in - The huge 150 year old chestnut tree that Anne Frank looked out on daily from here luxury 5 roomed mansion while hiding from the Nazis won a court reprieve today which stopped it's felling for the time being.
The sick and diseased city council said they would consider asking Amsterdam's mayor to overrule the court and allow the felling to go ahead if new tests confirm the tree is infected with a fungal strain that spreads quickly as they have fears it could be used in a terrorist attack.
The Council has ordered one million deluxe gas masks , one for everyone in the audience just to be on the safe side at a cost of Euro 50 million. " Don't worry we got a discount " said one member of the government.
An Amsterdam court ruled on Tuesday the city council must work with conservationists in the coming two months to look into alternatives to the felling of the 150-year-old tree, that had been due to start at dawn on Wednesday, but luckily they over slept.
When interviewed about the possible felling of itself the tree had "no comment."
Anne Frank Museum's caretaker commented . "This is no longer the tree as Anne Frank saw it," he said. For one it's 62 years older and I'm much more in favor of a young tree." said the 97 grumpy year old., he commented further "I'd cut it down myself if i had the strength".
Tests showed only 24 percent of the tree was still healthy, but was on the mend after taking a long sea voyage .

Amsterdam's top exclusive Yab Yum club, one of the best known and the most expensive brothels in the city, is being closed down by local authorities as part of a crackdown on organised crime.
The authorities in Amsterdam announced today that Yab Yum's licence was being revoked "because there is a real risk the licence will be used to commit criminal acts". "Licence battering", is becoming a real problem in the city" said a police man with an IQ of 12.
The brothel has four weeks to appeal the municipalities decision in court. But the burden of proof falls entirely on businesses to show all transactions were 100 percent legal. In other words "They are F.....".
The decision is part of a drive by the city of Amsterdam and the right wing government to rid the sex industry from Amsterdam and to ruin all the fun in the city.
Yab Yum, is housed in an elegant canal house in the 17th century centre of Amsterdam.
Its 70-euro (103-dollar) entry fee and 300-euro per hour charge with one of its beauties -- according to its website -- ensures that it remains the preserve of up-market clients.

An after court news conference issued by the Anne Frank house said they expected a record of just over 1 million visitors to Frank's hiding place this year and was concerned about their safety as although it is large , it is starting to get very crowded, "1 million people do take up a lot of room. even when piled on top of each other", and now with this 27 tonne tree to worry about , we cannot get a good nights sleep". l
Tree conservationists who sought the injunction against the felling said their stability tests showed the 27-tonne chestnut was still safe and its life could be prolonged by decades by supporting it with steel cables. "They just want rid of it because it blocks so much of the view and light". an unofficial spokes person said.
Eestra rejected that idea and said attaching cables to the museum could make it look like a circus tent and might endanger the building and as for the view and light, "No comment".

Brendan in the horrors, not a word from his lips all day, just the odd grunt when asked anything and no music playing as readers will know NOT A GOOD SIGN.
If Brendan is not playing music he is either , not at home, dead or asleep. So when one enters the office and you hear no music and Brendan is not on the phone , this means "There may be trouble ahead".
I spend the day playing with myself and thinking of ways to magic up Euro 5000 and transfer it from once place to another before hell breaks loose. As I am a professional retard I managed it, in around about sort of way, only your mother would know about.
We all decided, Emmett and Mothership that is, not to attend the Gym tonight as they are fat bastards and one more night off will make no difference anyway.
Myself I worked away building several web sites and amended others. But with my back about to break, my eye sight fading and my memory gone I do not know how much more time I have left.

Amsterdam Escape were in shock today after Brendan Raymond Bowie handed in his notice effective from May 1st 2008
"I have had it, enough is enough, I am out of here, good day, good day. and with that he was gone.
As from May 1st 2008, Brendan "The face of AmsterdamEscape" will no longer be fronting the organisation. he handed in his resignation at dawn today, No one else was present.
Brendan will pack up girlfriend (oka Ball of fluff or Caroline, but for security reasons we cannot give her real name as I cannot spell it.)
Brendan along with yet to be born baby which is due in a month or so (December 31st at 610pm ) you could set your watch by it. Will pack up their trunks and say goodbye to the AmsterdamEscape circus after it's amazing seven year run. He is off to get the long awaited sun tan and to wet his whistle and watch the ball game with his Pa.
