At what time can we check-in and out?
Check-in from 2 pm. If we had no guests staying/checking out and the place is clean you can check in on your arrival..
Check-out: before midday. If we have no guests checking in you are welcome to stay until your flight time.
Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
The rates are per apartment based on 2 people staying. Extra guests are charged at between Euro 30 -50 depending on the apartment booked. Check apartment site for correct rates.
Are the apartments located in an area suitable for children.
All our apartments and houses are located in, on or around the Nieuwmarkt Square area, this is the oldest part of the city close by is Chinatown, Red-light district, Dam Square, Central station and Amsterdam's main shopping streets. Depends what you want your kids to see. if you don't want them to see the Red-light district you just don't go near it.
Are the apartments & houses suitable for children.
Most of our apartments involve climbing stairs so may not be suitable for children.
Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
No., All apartments are self-catering
Is heating included in the price?
Yes.
Can we settle the bill on arrival?
We prefer to settle account on arrival by credit card or cash. We offer 4% discount when the total bill is paid by bank transfer and NOT credit card.
Which languages are spoken at the reception?
English, Dutch.and Italian
How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
There are 4 floors in both our buildings and as the houses are original canal houses they have no elevator. But the higher you go up the better the views.
Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
Yes, we have some of the most romantic rooms in Amsterdam. All our apartments are located in the center of Amsterdam so as in any city center there is a certain amount of street noise but nothing that would keep you a wake.
Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
Yes all linens and towels are supplied. Further towels or linen are supplied on request.
Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard or patio?
No, only AmsterdamHome & AmsterdamView have small patios.
Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
No.
Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
No. (we could remove the ash trays)
Is there a TV in the apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
Yes, there are TV & Video.in all rooms with CNN, BBC 1 & 2 , Euro news and more. Each bedroom & living room has a TV & video.
Is there a telephone with direct dialing in the rooms/apartments?
Most of our apartments have direct dial phones but some have not. if you require a phone request same at time of booking.
Local calls are free. International are charged at cost.No extra call charges.are applied.
Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this?
No, only AmsterdamNest & Amsterdam Loft has air conditioning. There is no charge.
Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
In AmsterdamHQ and AmsterdamChillout all others have a dining table & chairs
Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
Some of our apartments have a internet point. if you require please inform us when booking.
Is there a swimming pool?
No. But Amsterdam has a few public swimming pools.
Is parking or garage available?
No, but there is on street parking outside all our properties but at Euro 3.75 per hour it's expensive.. There are a number of 24 hour car parks available nearby,. the closest is a 5-8 minute walk from our apartments. Average cost per 24 hours is Euro 25.
Where can we rent a car?
All the major car rental firms have offices here.
Which is the nearest airport?
Schipol, 15 km.
Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
Yes We can arrange for your collection at arrivals gate (man with sign)..Euro 35 for 4 people, Euro 50 for 6. Larger cars available for big groups.
Which is the nearest bus-stop?
5 min's.walk from all our properties.
Which is the nearest railway station?
Central Station, 5-8 min's.or Metro 1 minute.
Which is the nearest / how far away is / how do we arrive from the canal bus stop?
Waterloosplein, 5 min walk is the nearest point to our properties at which to enter or exit he canal boats and walk to your accommodation.
Which is the nearest / how far away is / how do we arrive from the tram stop?
5 min's walk.
Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
No, but there are a number of fitness clubs within walking distance which offer daily and weekly rates.
Are pets welcome?
No regret not unless their stuffed.
Is there a restaurant in the Property?
No, but all we are surrounded by restaurants offering any type of food you fancy.
Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
All our properties are connected to Wireless Internet connection and several have a PC with fast wired internet as well.
Are Stag and Hen parties welcome.?
Amsterdam Together. We can arrange boat hire with or without dinner (great food), book restaurants, shows etc just let us know what you require.
