Amsterdam Vacation rentals mostly comprise apartments. But apartments come in all shapes and sizes from the luxury end to the "let me out of here" type.
Any Tom, Dick or Harry can use there spare room and call it an Apartment once it has the basic self-catering facilities. There are many such places in Amsterdam.
But not with AmsterdamEscape, At AmsterdamEscape we offer something a little different.
We choose Nieuwmarkt (Newmarket) as a base for all our Amsterdam rentals and although not the poshist of areas it's central location is ideal if your visiting Amsterdam for a short time or for the 1st time.
Nieuwmarkt has everything and offers a real Amsterdam experience. Amsterdam is small and is so easy for walking or biking and Nieuwmarkt is an ideal place to stay as it's so central to everything. Central station 10 min's walk or hop on Metro (on Nieuwmarkt square) and you are in central station, Dam Square 5 min's walk, the main shopping streets are just off Dam Square and all of Amsterdam's museums and other attractions are at your doorstep or a tram ride away.
Vacation rental apartments in Amsterdam comprise anything from a studio to an entire canal house, facilities differ greatly but you can expect a clean apartment with kitchen (Shared or Private) with at least one or more bath/ shower rooms with linen and towels provided.
Unlike hotels you do not have daily maid service coming banging at your door just as you just are thinking of having a sleep in.
But if you do require daily, weekly or twice weekly mail service / cleaning a number of apartment owners do offer this service but most charge extra for it.. Amsterdam Escape do not charge extra for cleaning but it's on a request only basis. if you want daily it's not a problem but if you want to be left alone also not a problem. Bed linen is changed once during a seven night stay as well as towels but this is up to you the guest, if you need more towels or a change of linen just drop in to our office, give us a call or get on to the online Live Concierge we offer in nearly all apartments.
Most owners have a basic price for 2 to 4 guests staying and charge extra for each extra guest above this usually between 30-50 Euro per guest per night.
Different owners have different policies so always read carefully the rental policies before agreeing to the terms and conditions to find out what is provided, how many people are allowed and what restrictions are applied like NO Smoking etc, cancellation fees, extra charges etc.
